UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CV No. 96-1481 JE AFFIDAVIT OF ALAN L. SCHNEIDERI, Alan L. Schneider , being first duly sworn, do depose and state as follows: 1. I am one of the attorneys representing the plaintiff scientists in the above-captioned matter. 2. Attached hereto as Exhibit A is a true copy of a document that I received on April 2, 1999 from Rebecca B. Ransom, Division Counsel, Northwestern Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request dated November 24, 1998. The document is entitled Review: "Department of Interior Approach to Documentation, Analysis, Interpretation, and Disposition of Human Remains Inadvertently Discovered at Columbia Park, Kennewick, WA" (Draft Document of 20 October 1998) and indicates that it was prepared by Clark Spencer Larsen. 3. According to defendants' Fifth Quarterly Status Report, Clark Spencer Larsen in one of two experts retained by defendants to review defendants' study protocol. DATED this 2nd day of August, 1999.
